Summary, etc The onset and progression of several metabolic diseases in the cells have been linked to oxidative stress and inflammatory responses. This research aims to develop an effective nutritional remedy using ketogenic diet (KD) and tomato powder mix (TP) as a management option, which is affordable and relatively safe. In silico docking simulations of Acetoacetate, β-hydroxyl butyrate, and acetone with twenty-six anti-inflammatory and antioxidant marker proteins was carried out using high computing tools and software.<br/>Chemometric analysis was carried out on TP using standard methods. Six groups of male<br/>fruit flies (50/vial) were administered Normal diet (ND), High-fat diet (HFD), High<br/>Sucrose Diet (HSD), Ketogenic Diet (KD), and Tomato Powder-mix (TP), and HSD+HFD, for ten days. Further treatment of KD and TP was administered to group six to constitute groups seven to nine: HSD+HFD+KD, HSD+HFD+TP, and HSD+HFD+KD+TP for<br/>another five days. Biochemical parameters were determined and analyzed in the fly homogenates using standard procedures. Eight of the twenty-six proteins gave a good fit docking complex with the ligands. Chemometric analysis of TP revealed various<br/>interesting compounds. There were significant increases (P<0.05) in the concentration of<br/>malondialdehyde, total cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol, Triglycerides, atherogenic index,<br/>nitric oxide, total weight gained, and a significant decrease (p<0.05) in levels of catalase and HDL-Cholesterol in flies treated with HF and HS diets. Further administration of KD and TP resulted in a reversal of most of the parameters to near control values. The results established the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of KD and TP therapy. KEYWORDS: Ketogenic diet, Tomato powder mix, Inflammation, Oxidative stress, Drosophila melanogaster.
