Summary, etc The aim of this study was to design and develop an electronic commerce system that addresses the common pain points faced by Mountain top university students and staff in the current electronic commerce market. The study identified the various user and system requirements, specified the system design, and implemented the system.A review of the literature was being done to conduct a comprehensive review on the current state of electronic commerce in Nigeria. This will involve researching existing studies, reports, and articles on electronic commerce in Nigeria to identify the pain points faced by businesses and consumers in the current market. The system design was specified using UML diagrams, such are use case, sequence, and class diagram.The system is built using modern technologies such as HTML, CSS, React js, Firebase and Sanity. The system features a <br/>user-friendly interface and a responsive design that adapts to different devices. It also includes functionalities such as product listing, search, and filtering, a shopping cart, and a checkout process with secure payment integration.The results of the system culminate in the deployment of the system on a web server and the evaluation of its performance in a live environment. User testing is also conducted to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Overall, the project aims to provide a reliable, secure, and user-friendly electronic commerce system that can help small and medium-sized businesses establish an online presence.<br/>Keywords: Electronic commerce, Electronic commerce system, Nigerian electronic commerce market, User interface, Payment options.
