Every society is made up of people. This group of people have a way of life conceptualisation which is regarded as culture. Culture can be further regarded as the totality of the life style of a people differentiating them from others. Thus, leading to the creation of uniqueness in each race in the world. One of those things that differentiate one culture from the other is artistic piece, images and signs as various parallels reflecting the people's philosophical interpretation and representation. Significantly, esteems are priced and valued from the sketches of images, colours, to the end product of art which symbolises different concepts in culture. Art reveals the beauty and aesthetics embedded in a people's ouvres existence which are obvious through their music as employed as first a form of entertainment and as well as education. Through this, the beliefs,values and way of life of a people are captured, defined and refined. This becomes the vehicle showcasing the people's comprehension from one generation to another. Thus, in this, we have identified music as the heartbeat of culture and how music goes in depicting philosophies and sensibilities of a race in relation to time and space. To extrapolate this investigation, we have employed new historicism as a tool to verify the selected songs. It is in regard this research seeks to explore culture as a musical tool in the selected songs of King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey.
