This project study investigated the impact of cyber-bullying on academic performance
among two private universities in Nigeria. Its’ objectives examined and provided
additional data and understanding of the influence and impact of cyber-bullying on
various variables af ecting undergraduate students. There was a plausible examination of
cyber-bullying among university students drawing from psycho-dynamic and aggressive
theories, which addressed various components of the mind, personality, or psyche, especially at the unconscious level, as they relate to cyber-bullying in terms of mental, emotional, or motivational powers. The online survey sample consisted of 200 students
from both institutions. The result of this study indicated that cyber-bullying has an impact
on the academic, social and mental development of undergraduate students. The females
were more vulnerable to cyber-bullying as majority of them responded from covenant
university (CU). The data were collected through an online survey using Google forms. It
was found that 40% of the students had experienced cyber-bullying. The study revealed
that university students were not refrained the detrimental impact of cyber-bullying. The
main conclusion is that cyber-bullying existence have been verified, so school authorities
should take steps to stop cyber-bullying. If government is willing to accept that cyber- bullying is a problem, which it is, laws should be put in place to help eliminate this
activity. Additional implications of the findings are discussed in the study
