The Specific objectives are; to determine the independence of the audit committee recommendations, to determine the significance of internal audit on Organisational performance in lagos state. The study used survey researched method. The population of the study was all accounting staff of 10 pharmaceutical companies in lagos state with a total populatyion of 102 staff while the sample sixe was 150. table and percentages were used for analysis while the hypotheses were tested with Chi-square. The study found out that internal audit understands the organisation, its governance processes, risk environment, control framework and opportunities impacting the organisation.
