The multifactorial complexity of toxin and toxin producers brings about comparative and collaborative pathogenesis, of whose mechanism on a cellular level must be fully understood. All the toxins produced are either secreted out, called exotoxins (proteins), or are entrapped in the cell membrane, called endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides) and have been broadly categorized and discussed on this basis, for clarification ER -
