ABSTRACT<br/>This study is aimed at investigating the types, causes and effects of organizational conflicts<br/>in the organization as well as the strategies adopted in the resolution of the conflicts in the<br/>bank. The survey research method was adopted for the study. Primary data were collected<br/>from all staff of a branch of the bank using questionnaire and interview techniques. Secondary data were collected from published works. Data were presented in tables as<br/>frequency distribution and analyzed with percentages and frequencies. The major findings of<br/>the study include the following: Conflicts do occur in the Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc. These include those due to selfrelationship, conflict between staff and management, between the management staff, and<br/>between other staff. The causes range from poor communication, organizational policies, individual goals, ineffective reward system to poor superior-subordinate relationship. The resolution strategies adopted include abstention, reconciling, disputation, give- and-take, cooperation, peace-making, team resolution, etc. Conflicts have adverse effects on employees and the organization.
